Q&A
Would a beginner to pastel pencils be able to use this book?

Yes, they would. Anyone who has used pencils, even just graphite pencils would be able to follow these tutorials.  The basic principles for using pastels and layering are the same for many other mediums.

Why do I need to subscribe to the website to get access to the video tutorials?

The videos were designed to be exclusive to members of the website and for people who purchased the book. In order to access them, you will need to subscribe to the Taming Wildlife website.  If you decided to unsubscribe at any time in the future, you will no longer be able to view them.

What do I need to get started?

If you have somewhere quiet to work to start with, that is really important. All you need is a comfortable chair, a table and a piece of mdf or a hard canvas board to tape your paper or card onto. Obviously, you need some pastel pencils, but it would be ideal to start with a smaller study like the Wolf Paws in Taming Wildlife first, where you only need to buy 9 single Faber-Castell Pitt Pastel Pencils. They are all colours you will use again in the book.

What pencils do I need to complete the paintings in the book?

There is a definitive list of all the pencils used in the book provided for you on the page Pencils List for Book.
