Leisure Painter Fox's Nose Step-by-step Tutorial

To access the videos you can simply navigate using the shortcut menu to the right, or just scroll down to find the appropriate videos you require.

Please note that there is no sound in these videos. You will be shown a close up of the number and make of the pencil I am using, before I start using each colour. There are also some basic instructions contained in the description at the start of each video in YouTube.

Start drawing your portrait

Open the video in big screen and start drawing! Don't forget to have fun and don't be a perfectionist!

HOW TO ACCESS THE VIDEOS

To watch the videos within each step, in the order they appear - one after the other, please click the centre play button and the video player will automatically play all videos within this step. To select a particular video to watch in the step, please hover over the top right corner on the video where you can see three stacked lines with 1/3 in this instance.  As you hover over this it will show the wording Playlist; Step 1.
Click on the wording Playlist; Step 1 and you will see a drop-down list with the title of the step at the top.  You can then scroll up or down by clicking and dragging on the horizontal grey bar on the right-hand side, and then click on the video you would like to watch.Once you have selected the video it will play and you can click on the x icon at the top right-hand side, closing the drop-down so you can see the video screen in full.

Step 1
Pencils used - Faber Castell White 101 pencil to draw
the outline of the nose.

Actions made - Add texture to the nose with the white
where you can see highlights. Don’t blend the pastel.

Step 2
Pencils used - Faber Castell Light Ultramarine 140
to create an undercoat.

Actions made - Use the same scribble technique to
add the blue pastel as you did before with the white.  
Again, do not blend.

Step 3
Pencils used - Faber Castell Black 199 pencil.

Actions made - A couple of layers of black may
be required to get a strong depth of colour with
no surface showing through.

Pencils used - Faber Castell White 101 and Faber
Castell Light Ultramarine 140.  

Actions made - Use these colours to add highlights.
Keep your pencils sharp as you work.

Pencils used - Faber Castell White 101, Black 199 and
Light Ultramarine 140.

Actions made - Continue to build on the texture with
the white, blue and black.

Actions made - When you are happy with the
nose as being complete, why not build the rest
of the fox’s face
around it for more practice?
